They are designed to be soluble in any fuel, extremely concentrated, and drastically improve the efficiency of the fuel systems that are treated while inhibiting common fuel related issues. It contains a demulsifer to remove water, fuel stabilizers, fuel detergents, as well as our patented combustion catalyst to improve the fuel combustion cycle. THE NEW FUEL CONTAMINANT Asphaltenes are formed when diesel fuel is heated under high pressure as it passes through fuel injection systems. The increase in pressure, new fuel injection system combined with high temperatures actually cook fuel and can create small pieces of tar about 2 microns in size — asphaltenes. Symptoms of asphaltene contamination are as followed: These asphaltenes turn the fuel a dark brown color and can congregate and clog your fuel filters. They also can make up a significant part of the dark sludge that you see in many fuel storage tanks. The solids form a layer of tacky, gummy slime that grows over time and eventually must be removed.
